Another My Day

Well it is the 3rd of July here now.
It is nearly the 4th which in New Zealand doesn't mean a lot.
But it is nice to see my USA friends celebrate what for them is the most important day in history.

Independence Day

- wiki - Lady Liberty stands amidst Red Blue & White Fireworks
picture from crazywebsite.com

But yesterday the 2nd of July was my birthday.
However living a lot of my life in cybertime, my birthday lasts a lot longer.

I don't do a lot for my birthdays haven't done for years now.
But yesterday and today as it was my birthday in parts of USA til my 4pm.
I had a wonderful birthday felt a lot of love from a lot of people!
The MushroomFM presenters were amazing!
Some played my requests and some played special birthday music for me.
It was lovely, one presenter @jimbodownunder even sang Happy Birthday to me.
The last of 'my' birthday shows. Lol
Was Rock Under the Big Top with the RingMaster @inthecenterring
He played a track I have loved since the TV Series ROSWELL - wiki -

Here With Me - Dido

This song is so beautiful to me and the meaning it has for me is real deep.
I found out recently that my meaning and the actual meaning weren't the same.
But I still loved the song and appreciated hearing it again.
Thank you RingMaster!

I spent the day (yesterday) in contemplation and reflection,
it is a ritual now for me to do this on my birthday.
Thinking of where I've been, how far I've come, about the great and good in my life.

I appreciate myself and those who are dear to me.
I decide what I want to do with my life,
whether I need tweak things or maybe change direction.

Some of the important aspects in my life.

LOVE - HAPPINESS - FRIENDSHIP - FAMILY
JOY - HEALTH - HARMONY

Some recent photo's I have snapped

A full bloom of a light bright pink Camellia flower,
nestled in the dark shiny green leaves of her host.

A red Japanese maple leaf lay upon my hand perfect in it's natural imperfection.

A rocky shore beyond which is a rugged gray sea
 under blue sky
the odd cumulus on farthest horizon.

SIMPLICITY
FREEDOM
LIFE
LOVE

I am thankful for being.

Aztec Cuffs

So to my Friday

I woke to  "Morning! Morning!"

Sat straight up 'courier man, my wire'
"Thank you"
I yell out at least I think I did.
Half awake I hunt for clothes.
Stumbling about.
The day is light and ready to start.
I go to get my package and my door's open.
"Shit!"
*I shake my head and quietly scold myself for not shutting it*
The heat! Blame the heat!

I grab the packet chuck it on my couch.
Then go back to bed to wake up.

Later I continue crocheting these...
 Aztec Suns
1. Purple - Yellow - Green
2.Green - Yellow - Blue
3. Red - Yellow - Blue
I went to do one with white but it made it
granny straight away I thought.
I don't know if anyone else will like these
 but that's okay.

I caught some live shows on Mushroom FM
today yay!!!
A very cool & colourful show with cool & colourful music.
Great interaction and dishes dance music.
Take a listen - go on!

Continued crocheting...

And I catch another Live Mushroom Show!
I am an eighties child and loved the music!
The Weird Al Yankovic parodies were hilarious!

I finished crocheting.
Went out to get some glass hearts to wire wrap
and the shop was closed 2pm they close.
I had to look at the website to get the addy...
The hours are up there to.
Doh!

So I get home and my friend turns up.
Great timing!
She wants 3 red hearts wrapped by Thurs
I have 3 red, I'm rapt!
I have started them and
am happy to be wrapping again.
Though it was nice to try my hand at other materials.

3 Aztec Sun Crocheted Cuffs

So the sevens coverage has finished on TV1
and I am finished with the detail.

I have my horos to write in blog or on site?

I started this to see
how the communication would stack up.
I have had a few comments made here, however I
have been putting her out and basically
tackling people to read it.
I wonder if I had done that in my website would
I have gotten the same comments...
most likely.
I do like the easy video posting here.

But there is no gallery.

Ideally I'd have a
(wall/side panel for peeps to put their tag)
I do like that if comments are made everyone can see them.
But twitter and fb can't be beat for interaction.

I'm off to do my horos and follows and who knows...

bees and things

Well it's my Friday night and I haven't even posted yesterday's.

So what did I do yesterday.
Thurs 02-02-2012

I saw this odd wasp - honey bee hybrid...

It has the wasp like stripes bright and distinct.
But its back is black and it is stocky like a honey bee,
or even a blow fly.
It sounds like a bee - blowfly, and moves like a hover fly.
First time I've ever seen one.
It loved this tall purple weed with alyssum type flowers.

It even went away and returned with a partner.

I also took this pic.

Of the metallic blue ladybird (ladybug)
amongst the spikes of the Swan Plant seed pods.
I was pleased with the clarity of this photo.

I stopped to smell the roses.

The scent of this 'antique pink' rose is divine.

I noticed this young adult praying mantis.
Living amongst the spines of this cactus and seeming to
lay in wait for prey to get caught in the spider's web that's
weaved between the 1.5cm spines.
Clever insect!

I picked these juicy strawberries.

and ate them yum!

Then I plaited wool yeah 3 plait - plaits in many many colours.

I listened to the podcast of
hosted by

I love these guys banter, they play some great music!
But the banter is fun, funny & a lil crazy.
You have to check it out!
You'll love it!

I started crocheting these...

I call them 'Aztec Suns'
I love this blue, yellow and green one.

Then I grabbed another Mushroom podcast for the
Sit and Spin show hosted by @silly_singer
She played some beautiful songs I'd never heard before
and some really good covers to.
A great show to accompany my night.
Listen to the podcast you will enjoy.

I then read more of
Claude Bouchards (exciting) Discreet Activities
before a 2am kip.

lenticular clouds

Of Wednesday 1st of Feb 2012

I went to buy the luscious faceted ruby glass hearts
They were sold out!
The site that supplies them only sells wholesale
to registered businesses.

I took photos of clouds.

Some lovely lenticular clouds.
They looked so gorgeous, soft & cuddly.
I could imagine curling up in them zzz...

If only we could box them...

Anyway night came and with it
The Beer Fridge with Anthony Horvath
aka @kiwisnake
Great rock songs from Alice Cooper, G'n'R to Rainbow
who I heard for the first time last night
I you tubed Rainbow later wow...

Gates of Babylon

Love the voice & the music nice to drift off to Nod on.

I noticed the name
on the same You Tube page.

I know a few Blackmore's Night songs
I love this one
Renaissance Faire

So I was surprised I'd not fallen over Rainbows
music before.
Sometimes my world seems so small.

We nattered Anthony, Steph aka @ephphy & I
about fluffies, french knitting, Green Day and puppies!

Join the convo sometime...
 Im @lovenunrg

Also talked about my mind being under stimulated.
There by resulting in terror dreams.
Anthony suggested a good book and I had been thinking...

About an awesome tweeter/author
As I saw an ad for his latest novel
go by in the side bar on facebook it sounded amazing!

So I went to Amazon jumped on a Cloud and got
Claude Bouchard's Discreet Activities
on my Kindle Cloud Reader.
Easy as Pie!

I'm enjoying the story so far.
Some pretty cool characters like Ms Robb.
I'm looking forward to getting to know them
all a little bit better.

So with Rainbow and Discreet Activities
I ended my night.

Last night I was talking with
about roller derby after she posted this cool video;

Tahuna Breaks - Moves

I've never been to a derby before.
Steph has and said they were
an awesome source of entertainment.
She even sent me a link of a league in my area.
Steph is amazing
at hunting down stuff instantly.
I will have to see one someday or a couple to understand it.

I also listened to
@jimbodownunder
and his show on
Some great music and interesting features like the series - Unburying the Aztecs.
Have a listen to the podcast.

I also have my first
totally online order for jewellery.
A beautiful twitter friend of mine would like a piece
like this

I can't wait to get my hands on these stunning
ruby red glass heart beads again!
They only come in packs of fours so I'll be in heaven!
Get lost in their faceted depths.

Anyway I'm settling in here quite nicely I think.
Love that I can post vids
and the You Tube link up is as easy as pie.

I do think I will have to use my website as well it will be
interesting to try and possibly a little
frustrating...
But will certainly keep me out of trouble.

to blog or not

Well I was tuned into MushroomFM til after midnight
I listened to the Double Top 10
hosted by Richard Bartholomew @glenbuck1
Then I caught a little of Love Songs
and then made myself turn it off.
I needed sleep.

When I woke tuned into
Great music for my Monday morning.
Great discussions on twitter with Jonathan and features unique to his show.

I said Happy Anniversary to a few of my Auckland tweeps.
(wikipedia)

One being @JamesHancox
who is an amazing photographer!
I then trawled through some of his work
 James Hancox - flickr
I'm trying to find a fave out of the many AmAzing shots!
No easy task!
Take a look you'll understand!

During my brief cyber break:
 I ran around the house,
practised bombing onto my bed,
vacuumed, showered, and made this:

'a faux key'
Faux gem - glass bead
Faux gold - brass wire

Keys seem to be what's hot in jewellery.
So I just had to, you know.
I also like the sound of, a faux key.
*grins*

Then at 8pm New Zealand time
Brought the Mayhem to Monday with his show
To say it was an animated show would be the truth.
As Anthony told of how he, his brother & friends discussed
Snorks and other animations.
Cartoon theme songs became the talk of the show.
Anthony played a couple of theme songs.
Just happening to have Jem in his extensive music collection.
Then he decided that the 13th of Feb's Monday Mayhem
will be an animated theme event.
So join the characters and craziness you'll love it!

Next Monday is New Zealand's Day
Waitangi Day - (nzhistory.net.nz)
Anthony will be featuring Godzone's musicians
You need to check it out Kiwi's have some amazing talent!
Singers to!

If you need some sounds to accompany your day.
Check out
Something for everyone!
and the coolest DJ's you've yet to meet.

So anyway I'm trying to see the advantage of a
website (nonsensemostlymine)
over this - a blog -
Here I can post this single post.
You can reply just down there to this post.
Tweet it or Share.
The post on my site is like a trickle in a stream.
No tweetin, or sharing of, just that post.
Commenting is done via the box which goes to me alone.

I'm thinking I'll go back to blog.
It's where I started.
"Vizzini said go back to the beginning."

So PLEASE let me know what YOU think.
To blog or not?
